Government agencies contract for Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support in order to successfully execute the mission of the respective agency. In general, SETA personnel work directly with the government, usually sitting in the same office area, to assist in the technical aspects of a study, prototype or acquisition effort. Additionally, SETA personnel support the government in providing technical oversight of a development contractor.
