GOLDMiner
The Geo-Oriented Linking Data Miner (GOLDMiner) application suite is an aggregation of mining, indexing, and searching tools. The main purpose of the application is to facilitate:
- Scheduled crawling of various resources both locally and across a network.
- Automatic creation of geo-indexed data.
- Quick and easy access to those indices via a query interface.
Indices are persistent across queries so that multiple searches may be performed on sets of data by multiple clients. Results from queries are then displayed on the map and linked back to the original documents to create well-defined relationships between the original data and its geo-interpretation.
Performing a Query
Once the GOLDMiner Crawler has crawled the network, a search of the indexed data may be applied. By default, all information crawled will be searched and displayed. By pressing the Perform Search button, a query of the indexed files will be made. The data is represented by layered circular dots.
